To help calm down people, Mr. Maitland announced that Conrad was coming to town. He was a songwriter from the 1960’s, though he had persisted throughout the decades. Very few people knew the singer, but the town woke-up a little inside and people contemplated going. The aged artist was known for his folk songs, his lyrics, his demeanor, and people were looking for something -- someone -- else to think about other than Mr. Evans.
As Owen walked to the amphitheatre to buy tickets for the show, he saw Sayori Fuji on the stage with Conrad giving him cookies. By the time Owen bought his tickets, Sayori had vanished again. He was puzzled, this was the second time she had vanished.
As Lee headed to the pool that morning he heard Conrad’s warm up. Although Lee was lost in his own thoughts, he heard Conrad’s voice, “When you ain’t got nothing, you got nothing to lose,” as he headed towards the pool.
A few hours before the concert, as Kit and his mother argued about going to the show, and Kit’s mother insisting that it wasn’t going to be too dark, Conrad was doing last minute warm ups. Just before Kit flat-out refused he heard Conrad’s lyrics, “I used to care of the ghosts and spirits, but things have changed.” Kit paused, then said, “okay, we’ll go.”
As Conrad finished his warm ups, he kept looking around anxiously. He was waiting for Friedrich and his delivery - some $5,500 on the line for an old guitar.

Incorporate the concert and your character’s presence (or absence). Incorporate one of the following lyrics in your blog post along with some physical description of your character that is needed for a reader to get a better understanding of your character.
- I used to care of the ghosts and spirits, but things have changed
- You can go and blame it on a simple twist of fate.
- I don't need any guide, I already know where the money’s laid,
- Because something has been happening as of late
- But I don’t know what time it is, it’s in a jar.
- Do you, Mister Lamar?
